He works in tenant representation with national and local tenants around the state and landlord representation mostly in South Florida and Gainesville.
Arthur began his real estate career in Gainesville with a local development company AMJ Inc. of Gainesville, where he leased and managed the company’s retail and office properties in Gainesville and Orlando. He was instrumental in the acquisition, redevelopment, and leasing of a dark Scotty’s Lumber into the active and popular Plaza Royale on Gainesville’s heavily-trafficked Newberry Road. During the initial leasing of Plaza Royale, Arthur joined Barrister Realty, we he worked for twelve years, representing tenants in Central Florida including Starbucks, Five Guys, Dragonfly Restaurants, Alltel, Pollo Tropical, Cold Stone Creamery, Plato’s Closet, Rita’s Water Ice, among others. At Barrister Realty, Arthur procured the property and leased up Plaza Centro on Gainesville’s primary commercial corridor Archer Road, leased with Starbucks, Panera Bread, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Cold Stone Creamery.
Upon joining Vertical Real Estate, Arthur relocated to South Florida, bringing his knowledge of the Orlando, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Space Coast, and Florida Panhandle markets with him. He has continued to represent tenants throughout the state and to lease properties in the Gainesville market, to which he travels frequently to visit his family and closest friends as well as conduct business. Arthur’s landlord work in South Florida has included the initial lease-up of the retail phases of Downtown Doral, including Publix, Dragonfly, Bulla, Pizco y Nazca, AT&T, Baptist Health, OXXO Cleaners, Hand & Stone, Bachour, Las Vegas Cuban, and others. He has been involved since the initial stages of development for Doral Place 87 and the coming Shoppes at 97th. Arthur continues to lease Gainesville properties Plaza Centro, Archer Centro West, and Hogtown Shopping Center while also overseeing the entitlements process and sale of a planned mixed-use retail and student housing project across from the University of Florida. His tenant representation work around Florida currently includes One Medical, J. Alexander’s, Salons by JC, 5.11 Tactical, Rivian, Dragonfly, Las Margaritas, Avo Mediterranean, Trader Vic’s, Logan’s Roadhouse, Stoney River Steakhouse, Modern Animal, Skin Laundry, Great American Cookies, Pause Studio, Solis Mammography, and others.
Arthur is a proud graduate of the University of Florida and an avid Gator fan. When not working, Arthur enjoys spending time with his wife, two adult children, and young grandson, playing a lot of Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, George Harrison and that type of music on guitar, watching Major League and Gator baseball and Dolphins and Gator football, reading classics and biographies, davening with talis and tefillin most mornings and chanting Torah. Oh, and he’s addicted to Wordle and the New York Time crossword puzzle.
